This image is from a series of pictures recording an EK2 award ceremony. Specifically, the ceremony shows four NCOs and two officers receiving the EK2. For a number of reasons, the series appears to be a record of an early war ceremony.
I'm hoping to get an idea of the subject unit. In one of the pictures an officer is seen wearing a Legion Condor cuff title, so I'm wondering if the unit could be one of KG 53, Flak Rgt. 9, or Luftnachrichten-Regiment 3, all of which were given the LC name to commemorate the men who served in the Spanish Civil War. I have tried to search for images of the various cities in which these units were stationed - I was really concentrating on Flak Rgt. 9 as the recipients seem to be flak personnel. Can anyone give a hint of where these pics were taken by looking at the building in the background in the photo below? The lion on the left certainly reminds me of something Bavarian.
