some of my educated guesses only

    It may be neither
it may be a example of an entwining of both groups you ask about.

If I had to pick only between the two, I say Ahnenerbe as the artwork on the sides (semi Celtic-Germanic entwined design is very reminiscent(but not exactly) of a official Ahnenerbe design on a document.

Unless the covered over parts of names has an SS designation , there is actually nothing to even prove it is SS.

I don't mean this is in a mean way at all to attack this item the lack of an SS symbol makes this more interesting as it still screams out SS type of interest.

In my opinion it may be document made for those who followed the same type of faith as the SS, but were not SS and instead in the NSDAP type of Nazi affiliation.

For example I mean this as there is an NON SS official candle for the Julleuchter or the same holidays that is not Officially SS on the box.

Also it could be for simply a civilian family that is following this type of non-Christian way like SS and some NSDAP groups

These are only my best ideas from my own studies.

In the end, it is very interesting no matter what.

      Hi, thanks for the answer!
In the name no ss occurs. Only the sayings remind Official, blood and soil, Be Heldisch, victory or die brave, do not be a coward, overcome yourself, is patron of your clan, whether in your living large, believe in the size of your people, cherish and protect habitat and herd, always fighting never raced, do everything for Germany, was righteous, the eighth German law. Bow down never stretch out you, be royally by your attitude.

The manufacturer is Mistelbacher, maybe helps.
I guess that it is not a single piece, it is certainly comparable.
I look forward to more answers.
      Greetings Alex

I can see it is about a child's ceremony with an emphasis on the child's guardians.

So...the slogans/quotes you wrote must be the writing around the "runic" symbols that I could not see clearly enough to read.
Very interesting sayings. It is NOT overtly SS...but SS would have found this very acceptable to them.

Sadly, I am not familiar with the printer Verlag of Mistelbacher .
Also of note is that it is not a known publisher for SS or nsdap....

So again I still believe it is in the area between regular civilians and the Nazi orgs (including SS) who were following a New tradition of ceremonys rather than a Christian style.

This is the common thread:Non Christian
