    Reichsleiter Wilhelm Grimm photo

I need some help in finding a photo of Reichsleiter Wilhelm Grimm wearing the 1939 pattern NSDAP uniform. If anyone could send me a scan it would be much appreciated. Thank you.

        Hi Mark,

I don't recall ever seeing a photo of Wilhelm Grimm wearing the M-1939 uniform. If he did, it would have been for a very brief period since -- as I understand it -- he was officially removed from his position on the Supreme Party Count in 1940, which classified him as a Reichsleiter out of service. By 1942, when he returned to Germany from service in the Army, he was listed as “Reichsleiter aD” – retired. From 1942 onward he took up a position on Dr. (Ing.) Hans Kammler’s staff in the Armaments Ministry, where he served until his death. Grimm died near Coswig, Anhalt, on July 21, 1944 at the age of 54 in an automobile accident while on an official trip. Again, as I understand it, Grimm's brief career as a Supreme Justice on the Party Court was always under pressure from two sides; he was caught in the middle of the increasing power struggle between his boss, Reichsleiter and Supreme Justice Walter Buch, and Buch's son-in-law, Reichsleiter and Chief of the Party Chancellery Martin Bormann -- and Grimm probably saw it best to step out of the problem by taking early retirement from the Party Court!
