A Volksgrenadier and a Volkssturmmann is not the same. A volksgrenadier was a member of a Volksgrenadier unit (grenadier regiments formed at the end of the war from remnants of other divisions, reserves etc) while a Volkssturmmann was a member of the German Volksssturm.
