    Photos Allied Fighter Planes

Hello together. Just came home from an Airshow.

I have bought these photographs of a British seller there because I liked those images.

    Now I have some questions.

Pic 1: Handley Page Halifax III "Friday ... 13 ". Seems to be a well known bomber? Has anyone additional info of that plane.

Nr. 2: The inscription on the back says Nieuport. Is it a Italian squadron?

    Pic 3: The back says Dornier 217 (Two D.B. 603A) Farnborough 8.11.45

I guess many German planes were examined there?

Pic 4: What kind of plane and Squadron?

pic 1 could be wel made on an post war exibition for civilians. A lot of info can be tracked down on planes.

pic 2 could be Nieuwpoort. Place in Belgium

Nieuport is the plane type, not a city

                      1. Handley Page Halifax heavy Britiish Bomber. A replica of this aircraft is in a museum.

                      4. British WW1 Sopwith Strutter in either Belgian or French markings. I suspect French!

                      5. Handley Page Hampden light bomber. Also known as the 'flying suitcase' because it was so thin.

                      6. Hawker Typhoon.

                      7. British WW1 Sopwith Strutter in French markings.

                            Hello there,
I think what Viscount meant for 4 and 7 was Sopwith "One and a half strutter",
                            Kerry.

                              #7 is a Handley Page Manx (H.P. 75 )

It was the only one with a fixed nose-wheel I know of. Though I do not see the twin engines and it looks narrow for the Manx
