I think your guess on the Sudfront in Italy is more correct. There is nothing similar in Russia or Ukraine to Licholetti.

So if he was killed during the attack of british commandos on pigoletti (piegolelle) on september 18th 1943 (last day of fighting), is he in Cassino Cemetery? I saw on VDK but he wasn't among soldier name.
Is there a tool to find if he was in Russia or in Italy ?
