That is a nice photo, the ship seems too large for a minesweeper to me, there's clearly at least two decks in view above the one they're standing on and that doesn't fit in with either the M-35 or M-40 class of minesweeper, perhaps a minelayer? The rails you see on the deck are for mines i believe. A bit difficult to tell but is the guy on the left wearing a Narvik shield on his left arm? I was also wondering why the guy on the right had a sidearm? duty NCO perhaps?

Very cool find!! Ther are both smiling too!! These photos say so much. Their appearances are very similar to each other. I wonder if they were related.
