Your observation may indeed be correct. I cropped the only uniformed personnel seen in this photo (which at first glance I took to be a German Luftwaffe member), and when enlarged, it looks like the soldier is indeed wearing a Slovak tunic with Luftwaffe breast eagle and rank tabs, topped off with a Slovak overseas cap.....further comments / observations most welcome.
