Panzerkampfabzeichen der Luftwaffe in wear portrait

    Hello, guys.

Just saw this portrait on evilbay. My opinion - it's photoshop. What do you think about it?

P.S. Obergefreiter der luftwaffe was a veteran of WWI. Wears EKII for WWI & Hindy cross. And PKA der Luftwaffe here?!

P.P.S. I saw several 100% fakes & 50/50 photos from this seller before.

    Rostyslav.

Era of new type of fakes - "photoshoped fakes" is began. Faker name is Oliver Kolb (nickname mister.kite) & he is seller from evilbay: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...7&postcount=27

For now we have two "heavy" photoshoped portraits from him: this one + http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=637646

Mister.kite is a good faker! I have found one more rare portrait in my database that was sold by him on evilbay.

              Rostyslav.

Simply compare cutting on this photoshoped photo & on the sold one! They are identical from all four sides!

Rostyslav, would you happen to have a reverse shot of the already sold Chaplain photo? No doubt that they are the same type of cut, but I am curious to see the reverse to see if the same paper is being used/etc.
The faker is much better at digitally enhancing than a lot of the others I have seen attempt it. Not something we want to see "catch-on" anymore than it already has in the world of photo faking...

P.S.- also note that both images are aligned exactly the same.......look at how both images are slightly slanted to the left within the borders of the paper (easy to see this at the tops of the photos)

5 hours to go and at over $140 already

... easier to produce and much higher profit margin than faking TR awards.

Yes I agree Photoshoped picture. Great observation with the cut

The badge have only a 2 dimension look, no shadow, bad angle, edge definition are suspicious and the tunic wave should be affected by the badge itself.

Subscribing to a forum like this will save you money but if one is gullible enough even that won't help.

Another example of why the selling of fake TR militaria continues to be such a lucrative business. I know of one FJ portrait (it has been sold on the market in both colorized and non-colorized versions) wearing an FJ helmet along with the Para Badge, EKI, Erdkampf Abz, Wound Badge ect... that has been around on the market since the late 80's. Copes of it still show up and have sold over the years many times for more than peanuts at Auction houses, miltiaria shows, and on-line dealer listings. SS Tuxedo pins anyone?

                              Hi, guys.

What do you think about new rarity from mister.kite?

                              http://www.ebay.de/itm/HAMMER-Studio...0AAOSwXeJYJOY0

Badge has correct shadow, but details look not good, IMO.

Two known original photos with this rare badge:

                              1. http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ghlight=danzig
                              2. http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ghlight=danzig

On both of these original photos DETAILS of the badge looks different.
