        Yes, they were used in his 1925 funeral, and later displayed in his home in Schweidnitz, Poland, where his mother opened a museum with Manfred's and Lothar's stuff.

        All these disappeared in 1945 after the Russians got there.

          This is not Richthofen's Ordenskissen.

          This was the collection assembled by the late Neal W O'Connor, and displayed in his museum in Princeton, NJ. He donated this to the Technical Museum in Germany where the ordenskissen is now located.

          Neal believed MvR earned the Bavarian Military Merit Order 3rd Class with crown and sword (shown in this medal bar)

          We now know that Richthofen did nor receive this award. He only received the 4th class with Crown and Swords. Neal himself acknowledged this...

          Furthermore, the swords clasp to the Duke Carl Edward Oval Medal are not the proper type.
