Hello,
I am trying to identify the signature on the Verwundetenabzeichen in Gold document.
Hauptmann Leonard Schmidt was the Commander of I. / GR 7, but the signature does not look like Schmid.
Does anyone know???
On the other two documents:
EK 2. Klasse - Generalleutnant Robert Pistorius (thanks Ian), commander of the 3. Lw Feld Divsion who was killed in action in June 1944. Pistorius won the DKiG on 2.5.1944. Pistorius had a very interesting background, first a Pionier then a pilot/observer, then he trained secretly in the Soviet Union in the 20s then back to the infantry, then to the newly formed Luftwaffe, then in 1944 transferred back to the army.
Major Wilhelm Klumpp - not too information on him.
