I think this link I've added, will help ....take alook (everybody into signatures)

Hey km-spain , check this collection out, and for others who keep asking, this will also show some real signatures of lots of famous people of the day. This is worth saving for future reference. http://www.germaniainternational.com/hitler27.html There is an AH signature in the same period (a few years earlier)in the lot, and others worth looking at . I agree it doesn't seem good to me,doesn't match, and likely as stated, a bad forgery IMO, but you look yourself, and compare , especially look at the cross line on the H. Proper way is to take it to a real expert who does nothing but signatures, and has sold some of these prior . Many times all of us make mistakes, but then again the amount of Hitler signature forgeries are likely one of the most faked signatures out there .Problem is when you buy a book for the signature as claimed it is hitlers actual signature, and it isnt original , the price you paid was relative to the signature more than the book it is signed into.In that case , hope if it isn't original you need a guarantee on any AH signature claimed to be his from his own hand, and if it turns out not to be, then , it need to be returned. Don't get discouraged, we gotta take the good with the bad, but sometimes the bad isn't bad at all...and the good isn't good. There is a signature expert from the vegas pawn stars hokey show, but he seems to be alright. Maybe he may know.

When the day arrives that we have to rely on the opinion of a signature expert from the Vegas Pawn Stars hokey show, then that is the day to give up collecting signatures.

I know it sounded bad, but it was the best I could do for the poor guy

The mere association of being hired to appraise and authenticate by folks on the pawn shop show ,does NOT reflect negatively on that experts credentials or reputation merely for that reason alone . An expert knows 100% every time what's real and what isnt, and never is wrong ...thus the term "expert" only truly applies, and what the owners personal family problems are on the show, are not IMO contageous ,although that was a chumley type comment like he would impulsively give on the show, so how that effects that particular autograph expert guy pawn stars sometimes calls in at times ,is non relevent (we agree though that not all know their stuff, professional people have to be judged as individuals according to their tenure, merits, accuracy and pure honesty and integrity.) . Big name autograph dealers charge to appraise even for authenticity or not. That's how it works( it actually is in some cases another racket ). It is important ,to be 100% sure of authenticity ,before you can properly invest in autographs of ANY famous person, or before ever selling to know you are right . The guy obviously doesn't want to pay to have it appraised, so you get what you pay for (nothing= 0),even though the price was right , this tip just may lead him to something positive as we can never say. I don't need an autograph expert personally, but if you have a better idea, and know someone , maybe you can post who he is(doubt if you know one either) ,maybe even get him to join up for this reason I dont think we have a bonified autograph expert even as a member here ,........ or do we??. .

Nobody is suggesting that the credentials or reputation of the guy used on the TV show are compromised. He is a local guy that the TV family uses, as he knows something about autographs. He is probably very good at what he does, but a specialist on Third Reich autographs he is not. The important word here is "specialist," not "expert." You are the one using that term, something done all too frequently. To suggest that an expert is never mistaken is simply misguided. Nobody is infallible and real autograph specialists or experts (call them what you will) are the first to admit that. Many collectors rely upon the opinion of well established militaria dealers and autograph auction houses to authenticate Third Reich material, but the truth of the matter is that, in the vast majority of cases, their expertise in such a specialist field is not sufficient. It is encouraging to note that you do not require the advice of an autograph expert; I assume that, by this, you are confidant to rely upon your own expertise. I too extremely rarely seek advice from a real expert, relying on my many years experience in collecting Third Reich autographs. However, if necessary, I am pleased to say that I do know a few real autograph experts, some of whom I have named in previous posts. They all have one thing in common apart from knowing their stuff......none of them appear on TV.
