III/Jagdgeschwader 53 Mölders Maltzahn ME 109

This photos were taken by my grandfather. The "Hauptmann" Mölders (February 1942) in France, the other one is the back of the ME 109 from Oberst Maltzahn taken in africa. My grandfather was in III/JG53.

I have fotos from same event as in the first foto and it shows Leutnant Erich Schmidt from J.G. 53 reciving KC (23.7.1941) from Mölders.

Mölders awards Schmidt with the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross on 23 July 1941 as Leutnant and pilot in the III./Jagdgeschwader 53, this is the event, right?? Thank you very much.
