    Stug Wrapper?

    Gents,

    received this neat postcard today.
    It is dated "Easter 1945".
Monselice is a city in northern Italy.
Anybody have some more info on the state of occupation at the time?
Is the man maybe a POW already?
Is he a Stug man or something else (no skulls on the uniform)?

    Thanks in advance,
    taube.

    Imho:

    the man is a german POW;

the right word is "Ottobre 1945".

Monselice was freed the day 29 april 1945 by English troops

    Ciao, Daniele.

      Great info, Daniele!
I am very certain though it´s "Ostern 1945".
Easter 1945 was on the 1st of April.
Thanks to your knowledge, I am now getting a clearer picture.

      Best,
      t.

I agree and he doesn't look like a POW. IMO he is probably a "StuG or StuH man", can you try to enlarge the shoulder strap section?

        Cheers
