Hello everyone,
I just received this yesterday in mail...it was a surprise to me as I wasn't expecting anything like this. I have done some rough translation of it and it appears to be an invitation to the first awards ceremony (April 23rd, 1939) of the NSKK Motorsportsabzeichen in Hamburg.
It is made of hard stock...measures roughly 8" in length by about 6" in height and features the NSKK Motorsportsabzeichen in gold on the cover. On the inside is a schedule of events...the first being the presentation of the NSKK badge by Obergruppenführer Jürgensen. Second is a film by UFA based around different motor sport events. The right hand side of the inside is all of the event information about the event.
The signature is from Obergruppenführer Jürgensen...not sure if it is autopen or a stamp. I will say that the back of the card is indented from his signature...so I doubt that it was a stamp. I couldn't find any of his signatures online to compare it to.
If anyone can supply me any additional info on this I would be greatly appreciative. I would assume that something like this would be pretty rare or scarce...being that there were only a round 500 of these ever issued.
Thanks again,
Chrys Alexander
