One quick comment: The first annual commemoration of the Beer Hall Putsch took place on November 8/9, 1933, celebrating the tenth anniversary of the event, the NSDAP's takeover of the German federal government, and the inauguration of the 'Martyrs Memorial' set up in the Feldherrnhalle on the Odeonsplatz. This occasion included the march from the Bürgerbraükeller to the Feldherrnhalle through downtown Munich, but in 1933 and 1934 the march ended there. The 1935 commemoration, however, inaugurated the completion of the Temples of Honor as they sat at the foot of the Königsplatz, and the 1935 ceremonies included the dedication of the new Temples as well as the solemn liturgy surrounding the re-uniting of the remains of the sixteen 'Putsch Martyrs,' each in a bronze sarcophagus, inside the portico of the Feldherrnhalle on the night of November 8, 1935 as well as the transporting of each sarcophagus to its new home in the Temples of Honor on November 9, 1935. The yellowed photo in note #5 below was taken on the night of November 8, 1935 during the all-night vigil held by members of the Hitler Youth as they stood guard over the bodies of the fallen heroes of the National Socialist Movement.

Ah, thanks, I thought there was room in the photo for someone else right beside Hitler, which should be Graf's spot!

Thanks, Max. Now that I'm on a better monitor I can make out the hair and glasses too.
