I've seen some ornate documents, but this one takes the biscuit. Superb artwork on an early (1934) piece which still incorporates an element of the Old Reich. It is a pledge of loyalty and extension of thanks from the civil administration of Nuremberg to the local Gauleiter Julius Streicher whose role in the rebirth of Germany was important. Not sure if the date is significant (it might be an anniversary) and it's signed, I think on behalf of, the Kreisleiter who I believe was Karl Holz at this time. If real, and I don't see why not, a lovely piece.

Just wanted to clarify......that is not the signature of Karl Holz, but appears to be "Popp."
