Has anyone ever heard of this type of photo paper?

I just bought some pics with this stamped on the back and I am a bit suspicious. The paper does not black light, but they look almost new.

i have a lot of photos in my collection which are printed on Leonar paper. I think its a common paper user back in time of ww2

hy,

for me the same, i have some pics with Leonar markings on it. and they are original.
if fakers do have original paper but not the negatives, they have to photograph the original photo, make a new negative and then print it on old paper, but you will see that the new photo is not as clear shots as originals.

the problem is if they do have original negatives, then it s a problem to distinguish fake and copy.

Hello Al P,

Leonar was used. I have found no problem with those so marked. As for condition snapshots are often in nice shape.

Thank you for the replies, photos are not my area (not that I have an 'area') and my paranoia runs deep.

Does ALL modern photo paper glow with a black light?

yes from what i know the modern photo paper glows under UV light, it s really difficult to find old stocks a photo paper.
