KVK2 Urkunde

Hi guys!

I was trying to resolve it by myself but turned out I run into a things that confused me instead.... so, I need your help - is this Urkunde good at all, and if it is - whose signature is on it?

no i think it is good it does look a little weird but think that is just the fact that the lighting in the pictures sucks i think its good what does the seller want for it ?

The signature equates to Hans von Baße but this looks like a postwar printed piece.

Wasn't Hans von Basse Oberstleutnant? ... and on Urkunde it is Generalmajor signed... ?
Btw., seller claims it is an original... which means - nothing
I do not speak German, but seems that the date on the Urkunde was somehow important for Infanterie-Regiment 376:

also he was a commander of the 225th Infantry Division (on stamp) from 20 May 1941 to 25 September 1942 ... everything seems to be OK.

Just from the picture provided, I'd go out on a limb and say it's good. The missing part of the stamp at bottom is kind of iffy, but for the right price, I'd go for it.

"Kommando 225. Infanterie-Division"... is that plausible wording on an original stamp? I haven't seen one like it before.

Can anyone show another award document with a color printed ribbon like this?

I have never seen a KVK document like this before, that is what attracted me in a first place, and that's the reason why I put it here for a review....

I have seen these variants before but with those the 'ribbon' is much brighter and runs to the citations edge rather then stopping just short.

Found one - same unit, same signature but look how much clearer this variant looks. The one you show looks like a print out of a poor scan.

I've also not seen a KVK doc with the ribbon printed on it like that, but i think it's good based on the pic shown, you'd need to have it in hand to make sure it's not a scan or copy.


With regard to the stamp, the abbreviation Kdo. is more common and is seen very often with divisional stamps, but i see no problem with the use of the full word.

The whole story around the award fits as well. The division was on occupation duty in France until this date, so a KVK to a kompanie chef would be the kind of decoration to see and at the right time

You are right, seems that the document could be a modern print...
