    Death Card album

    Hey guy's
I also found a Death Card album? Would this be the right term? Very cool piece. I'm not very familiar with these kind of items. Looking for any info I can. It's a very clean album with vellum still between pages. Was this something common. There are approximately 20-30 full pages of Death Cards. All different. Is this something the public could obtain? What would be going prices on something like this? Thanks for any help offered fellers..

I dont know how much an album would go for like that as I have never seen one, however death cards go for around the $10/15 mark on ebay

In my opinion it was put together post war and not common to have an album filled with Death Cards. I would understand a few family related Death Cards.

Yes more than likely Postwar but we will never be able to tell for sure However it could have been a youngster who couldnt wait to his/her bit for the Fatherland and collected these as a hobby to fallen soldiers...Just my 2 Cents
As for value? 10e each for the cards (unless you see a Waffen SS or a Para one in there) plus another 10er for the Album.
                  Best

It would be interesting to see from which area (place of birth and home town of the parents/family) the soldiers come who are showed on the death cards.

If it would be an original album from a family these usually should have collected the death cards from soldiers (families) of their town and the near by area.

In some cases it seems that private photographs of the soldier KIA are added to the death card.

I know a family who collected obituaries from their place which have been published in the news paper in an album.
