I think it says he was a strumbanfurer when he received the cross in 1940. He was oberstumbanfurer when he was awarded the oak leafs in 1945. Correct me if I am wrong. I would not be surprised if you are correct. ThanksComment

As Simon said: Fritz Vogt was an OBERSTURMFÜHRER when he had been awarded the Knight's Cross in 1940. Therefore no chance for this doc to be original.

Not how I read it. There are at least three of these men with the same name. Wiki could have them mixed up. Not trusting wiki to be correct. More research is needed Thanks.Comment
