Nice!!!! Dig that net on the helmet of the man carrying the (Also an SG 44) Faust not to mention the high rank men standing on the Panther! a great shot showing the fieldgear carried into battle by these Grenadiers also, love the SG 44 ammo pouches showing on the last man in line! These dudes were loaded for Bear, Soviet Bear! was there any text in the album about this photo? the more you look at it the more the photo keeps giving!

I see Army insignia and no sign of SS insignia anywhere on their uniforms & helmets.

Hi Guys
The photos show Ostubaf. Mühlenkamp, the commander of SS-Pz.Rgt.5 from 5.SS-Pz.Div "Wiking", beside the cupola of a Befehlspanther he was using during the battle of Kowel in March/April 1944. The troops are from Heer 131.Inf.Div who were in support during this operation.

This photo is usually obtainable as a post war HIAG photo set (the edges are clear indication that yours is a HIAG copy).

The photo was taken by an exceptional photographer Bildberichterstatter Baumann who successfully kept his excellent negatives after the war, and many copies were made, including a lot of non-HIAG ones.

Nonetheless, this is a super photo and should be appreciated as such.

Yes, I know this is from a series. No, I did not pay too much. Having 40.000 photos I am fairly knowledgeable on the topic. I JUST wanted to show a photograph showing, in my opinion, a skilled photographer and interesting material. This whole series, as opposed to some others, is actually impressive.
