    Requesting help please

    Hi there

Can someone please identify the signature on the reverse of a postcard I acquired?
Also can anyone identify the symbol on the armband in this photo?

    Thanks for your time

    The armband symbol is NSV:

The Nationalsozialistische Volkswohlfahrt (NSV), meaning "National Socialist People's Welfare"

The signature is a bit more problematic ... it looks like Kiat/Riat Valter/Walter to me. That's a tough one!

Thanks Peter! I saw the "-" which is usually placed over the "u" to distinguish it from n..... but didn't see the "u"!!

PaganNZ: By the way, the rest says "am 1.I.40" [on 1 January 1940] so it is apparently a New Year's greeting card.

        Cheers!
