Actually I think the kid is holding an old hickory shaft 5 or 6 iron. A Mashie or a Spade-mashie !!

Love the Photo. I wonder if Uncle Adolf played St. Andrews ?

"Should we assume that this photo was taken at a Bavarian resort sometime between 1925 and 1927, when the NSDAP was banned? Brückner isn't wearing a swastika brassard on his SA uniform...

        Br. James "

        It was in the wash.

              Very cool stuff

Started PSing years ago and then moved into animated Gifs. Haven't done much in the past few years. You have defiantly given me the bug again.

It does bear a striking resemblance to a repurposed ZIS-30.

About the "V" ... could that be a recognition symbol? We used (still?) them at least back in the 1980s -- I remember seeing "V", ">", "<", and "^" on visiting tanks/APCs rotating through the National Training Center at Ft. Irwin, CA (I was an Observer-Controller then).

                    not really a SU-45

                    not a czech Breitfeld-Danek DB25 or 30

Pz.Kp.z.B.V.12 used "V" on their tanks in Bosnia 1942-43

I found that the FAMO Boxer had a 42 hp. 5.0 litre 4-cylinder engine.

Also, those shown in Wehrmacht service had to have been built before the war, because during the war the FAMO factory switched to manufacturing 250 hp Maybach-engined half-tracks and a 125 hp Junkers two-stroke diesel-engined crawler.

                          some info here
The LHB Boxer was made beginning in 1932. It was propelled by a 45 HP engine. Beginning in 1935, it was offered as FAMO Boxer.

                            Nox,

                            Good call and well researched.

Have you any more up your sleave on its wartime use?
