Imho Wilhelm Monhke. Meyer and Mohnke are wearing italian camo jackets and trousers( with two front pockets). Meyers binocular is camoed with a piece of camo cloth. Pretty cool picture. Perhaps made in Normandy or in Belgium (prior to the invasion)

            Hello Karlo,

Will post more pics from this ceremonie tomorrow ,those were made when Erich Olboeter became his K.C. On 28.7.1944 as commander III/Pz.Gr.Rgt.26. Hitlerjugenddivision 12.

By the summer of 1944, it was becoming common for personnel in SPW units to wear the grey Sturmartillerie uniform. Olboeter's battalion was the HJ Division's SPW Bataillon, and thus he wears a Sturmartillerist's tunic, with Italian camouflage pants.

Where did these come from? I first saw them when Charles Trang published three of them in a volume of his Dictionnaire du Waffen-SS. You are credited, but I still wonder, how did these survive until recently without being seen and published?

                        Hi,

Those photo's are mine and I gave Charles Trang permission to publish them in his book.
I have 2 original photobooks from hauptsturmfuhrer Siegfried Rothemund,at that moment the IIa of the division.I don't know if he made those pic's.

                        Rothemund with A.Axmann.
