Great grouping. It's rare to see the specifics of a wound on the document. I recall another that was annotated "loss of hand". (In German, of course)

Yes, very interesting (and sad) group.

I have seen amput. spelled out on occasion but I'm not sure I have ever seen the actual limb listed.
