found this picture in a photo lot of a wehrmacht lehr unit, a wehrmacht feldwebel wearing a SS helmet, maybe transfered from the waffen ss or a reissued helmet,

A quick story.....

Just a quick (but true) story......I was in the U.S. Marine Corps...When I was in Vietnam we needed new jungle jackets as ours were worn out. Well all we could get were jackets with either U.S. Army or U.S. Air force patches sewn above the pockets.....SO we wore them....So on one day I was in the Army and the next I was in the Air Force. Interesting photo. It looks as though he has attempted to scratch the SS runes (if it is his helemt and not one borrowed from someone else).
