TDB : Big Mistake in the Book "Bulls-Eye"...

Hi All !

Recently had a Look in the Book "Bulls-Eye" dedicated to german Army Marksmanship Lanyards and TDB'S. Page 118, the Author show a Wehrpass Page, telling the 6th Award Entry is the "Tank Destruction Badge in Gold".

In my Opinion, the Entry says "Kf.Bew.Abz.Gold" (Kraftfahr-Bewährungs-Abzeichen in Gold) which is little bit different...

I agree, it appears to be the gold driver's badge.

Good catch! I agree with you. Only defense I can offer is we try to catch all errors in our editorial reviews but we failed here (and in fact every book, to all authors chagrin, contain errors). Thank you for pointing out the mistake!

Good spot and still a great and recommended book together with the other book on this subject "Tank Killers: History of the Tank Destruction Badge" by Thomas Breyette.

Mistakes in every book...for sure

I agree with Neil. No matter how hard you try and after pre publication reviews, mistakes do happen. I found one in my book that drives me "Nuts" even today ! If I ever write another one, I'll try even harder ! Tom

I agree that Mistakes can happen, and I have seen a bunch of interesting Things in this Book. Pointing out the Mistakes in order to increase the Quality of the next Print about this Subject belongs to the common Interest of Author and Readers...

Page 125 : Lt Mehlhorn's first Name was Max, not Hans (Scheibert p.241)

Page 84 : I am probably mistaking, but I would be glad to be convinced that the Pic showing "A Flak Officer Points to the Map Area where he earned his TDB" (??) is Period-made. I can not explain why I have a strange Feeling by looking at this Pic.. Am I the only one ??
