I would say that "your" version is original print and Jim's version is enlargement (whether from original negative or optical duplicate from print). That pencil says that your photo will be enlarged to show more of the Panzer.

I could be well wrong though... Both could just be enlargement in different ratio!

Akira, the three photos that I have are directly from Leutnant Göggerle to Karl-Heinz Münch and are period photos done on paper that was available at the time (this was a big probem in November 1944). They were later his birthday present to me on my 50th birthday which is quite a big thing over here. One could hardly imagine a better present!

Jim, I was just looking at the different ratio of enlargement in your photo and PT's. So both are original prints with enlargement process, but not contact print...

Outstanding photos, guys! Akira, that Panther you have shown in post #81 is absolutely amazing And as a certified Porschephile with more than a few Porsches in the family stables I always enjoy seeing wartime photos of the good Doktor with his military creations

I never grow tired of seeing that photo Ralph, I had forgotten about it. That is now one of my favorites in that Your Father was a crewmember which makes it a little more special than just another nice Panther photo! You should add a link to your old thread about him so members can see the man in the Panther which tends to personalize the photo!
