    Document group, opinions please

Three documents to the same individual. I'll try these low resolution photos and hope they turn out good enough for judging through transfer. An EK2, black and silver wound badge. Any thought to their originality?

Just for confirmation ....the EK II document is signed by Generalleutnant Theodor Freiherr von Wrede RK, Kommandeur der 290 Infanterie Division.

              Thanks, Ian.

I wish I had a photo of this General to display this document with.

Would you or any one else know what the other unit designations are on the black wound (11.J.R. 501), and silver wound (Stab. I. / Grenadier Regiment 694)?

I'm presuming the word 'Schutzen' means a rand below an NCO, and 'Unteroffizier' to be an NCO. Is this correct?

The wound badge documents are signed by Doctors.....most probably not Ritterkreuzträger and no chance (at present!) of identifying them.......

Schüzten means Rifleman or Private....he served with 11 Company, Infantry Regiment 501 and Staff of I (First) Battalion, Grenadier Regiment 694.

                501 was with 290 Infantry Division http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/...onen/290ID.htm
                694 was with 340 Infantry Division http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/...onen/340ID.htm

                  Thanks again, Ian.

I'll have to go back and reread Antony Beevor's 'Stalingrad' and 'Fall of Berlin 1945'. There may be mention of these units. It's very interesting to find documents and history that coincide. I greatly appreciate your help, and the links you supplied.
