    291. Infanterie-Division

Does anyone have photographs related to the 291. Infanterie-Division? I have almost all history unit books to this division but I cannot locate any albums or groupings to units of this Division. Does anyone have in his collection photographs to units of this Division? Especially to officers for research.

    Thanks in advance,

By the way, you own Herr Gundlach's photo book of 291. Division, do you.

Dear Akira, thanks for replying! Do you have more names to the officers shown in the photograph? Glad to see a photograph of Kippler.

I have his book - you can't miss that one. But I've heared there is another (photo) book but can't locate it or heared more of it.

Do you know to whom the album belonged?

            Thanks in advance Akira,

last picture posted ,on the right would say Oberst Paul Gurran as Cmdr
506 Inf Regt,he was in the Division at the time, later a GL.
The junior officer maybe from 291 Art Regt.

It doesn't look like Gurran, he was much smaller than this man.

Alex Old Boy, marvellous job! "Direct hit" a la Dieter. For sure our rare bird Bruno Hippler.

Congrats Akira. Biblio Verlag laid an egg on this one so this is the second time we have ever spotted the man. How is life at Omote-Sando?

                        Cheers

Just saw my mistake haha excuse me! I also wrote "Kippler" instead of "Hippler", replied to fast. Hopefully we see more.

                          Thanks in advance,

Thank you Harmel, I misread the writing and did not do my homework... I got an egg in the face but this is tasty. Good to know that it filled a gap.

Elwyn, no Omodesando home, yet. Current "photo room" is almost full, that could be a motivation to move but it would be too costly to find a better room than current one!

Another photo of Hippler, this time with General Friedrich, Arko 114.

"General Friedrich bei seiner letzten Besprechung mit Oberst Hippler vor dem Hause?? auf Reval"

This album came from the infamous E.B. so I had not expected a lot but this was a rare case that it looks good enough, untouched (can you believe it?)
