This looks to be an authentic SS Ausweis. It is ink signed by Hans Kelz with a printed Himmler signature.
This Dr. Rudolf Pfannenstiel should not be confused with Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Pfannenstiel who played a major role in the T4 organisation and is believed to have also contributed to inmate experiments in concentration camps. This Dr. Rudolf Pfannenstiel was the garrison commander at Dachau, but had little or no connection to the concentration camp of that name. Wilhelm Pfannenstiel's SS Ausweis would be much more desirable for collectors, but this is also a nice example with an excellent portrait photograph attached.
