    Anybody give a hint, please. What means "DÜN" on an emblem of 54 jäg.regt.?

    It's short for "Dünkirchen" (Dunkirk), because this regiment (Inf.Rgt.54) was the first German unit into Dunkirk, for which its commannder, Recknagel, received the Knight's Cross.
