    1936-39 Wound Badge Entitlement Document

Here is what I believe to be an entitlement document (Berechtigungsausweis) - and not an actual award document.

If I have translated this correctly, it is issued to a warehouse storekeeper of an army supply office confirming his entitlement to a black class award of the Wound Badge. As it is dated 1936 this can only relate to the Wound Badge for German Volunteers in the Spanish Civil War, 1936-1939.

The document bears the ink stamp of the "Versorgungsamt Marienburg (Westpreussen)".

I am hoping that one or more members of this Forum will be able to provide some clarifying and confirming feedback as relates to this document.

    Thanks and regards,

    John

Actually, this is verification the man is allowed to wear a wound badge from WW1. Not Spain.

Very nice citation. However, Hank is right... it is related to WWI.
