More from my trip to Germany.

He served with Panzerjäger Abteilung 25 and, quite interested, I purchased another group from the same unit that I will show in the Soldbuch/Wehrpass frum and he was his company comander.

First we started with his photo as a private, look at his shoulder boards with the unit number and the "P" stiched.

He started his career as a driver so no much action but a lot of cold time in the Russian front so he received his reward.

Not being in a frontline position doesn't mean you don't be important and not an alibi for not performing as good as you can and this is also rewarded

Taking good care of your vehicle and driving carefully is also rewarded, now with a god deduction in your insurance in wartime with this.

Now time for frontline so first thing is change your uniform, a black panzer wrapper will be nicer that the fieldgray so here we have our soldier, now an obergefreiter, prouding showing his new tunic with the ribbons from his KVK and Ostmedaille, hard times will follow this picture.

As he had performe as a driver he didi it as a fighter so he could proudly wear the proof of it.

Bravery was not for free and our guy paid with blood and pain.

Looks like the fighting was hard and close enough to be rewarded with this, his last award and the last piece of this little group.

I have also purchased another gropu to an officer who was his company comander late 1.944 so I wonder if someone can provide me with some info about where this unit fought from summer 1.944 till the end of the wr as I have no found any info after July 1.944.

Also it will help me a lot if I can find with tipe of vehicle or weapons were asigned to this company and what means S.F. in the Ek and Nahkampspange citations.

Thanks, take a look at this other thread to another member of this unit, incidentally the company comander from December 1st, 1.944 till the end of the war, maybe this two man knew each other or talked during the war, who knows.

SF could be Selbst Fahrlafette, sometimes also written as Sfl.
