top market value is EURO300-400 or US 350-450.
If buying privately expect to pay maybe $50-100 less.

I AM ALWAYS BUYING AFRIKA SOLDBUCHS AND WEHRPASS.

      Hello Fran 42,

Imo, pricing passbooks depends on at least several factors. Without knowing more about the Soldbuch in question, either through scans or further information which were not given, a realistic estimate should be withheld until such can be provided. Note also General's description...'lots of battle entry's'... which is fine for a Wehrpass...not a Soldbuch. Geeez...now I know why the prices of passbooks keep going up...

edward, in this case I am quoting the value assuming that everything the poster has told us is correct, and it indeed is a well filled out Afrika soldbuch.
This is what we are led to believe, and we can only take his statement at face value of course.
Therefore the price of what he describes is what I stated.

Of course, if anyone were seriously going to buy such an item, an in-depth analysis would be required. I thought that would have been a basic assumption.

On online auctions and in general trading circles even a very basic DAK soldbuch will sell for circa EURO150.
People these days still seem to think they are living the early 1980's when prices were so much cheaper. If there are good, well filled out DAk soldbuchs out there for under 200 EURO then please direct me to them. I will buy them in bulk !
If anyone buys a good well filled DAK soldbuch for under EURO200 then they should feel VERY satisfied.

          Hello Fran 42!

Thank you for the reply. Actually I am still looking at 70's prices! Just kidding... Imo, and I think we can both agree...the willingess to pay Eur 350-450 for a DAK SB is relative and will depened on how bad the buyer wants the item...as is the case with most collectibles. Some will pay way more while others less. From the very basic description given by the General of his SB I would pay your estimate if it had one of the following...individual was not POW in Africa and went onto serve in Europe, or had served a longer stretch of time in theater. For a basic DAK SB auctioned for Eur 150 I would say not interested, but again others would be.

          Regards
