I have a set of award documents that I am putting in a display and I have become curious about the signatures: if they were notable soldiers or had high achievements beyond normal officer duties.

Hi Brian,
I think the last document is signed by GenLt Rudolf Friedrich (1889-1945).
I don't know about the others i'm afraid...

Already interesting to know just one of the three! Any recommendations on where to find more info on him?

Looks like he had shot the entire Jewish population of Belgorad along with partisans... Perhaps due to some confusing Intel.

Any thoughts on the Oberst at the bottom? I tend toward "Giebels" or "Giebel", but without much effort I can also see the first letters being "St..."
