    RECENT PURCHASE IS IT ANY GOOD???

    If i was on the look out for one of these then i wouldn't choose this one it's in such bad condition anyway and there are enough questions marks about it to not make me bother giving it a second look.

    Sorry if that sounds a bit dismissive, but these are common and cheap docs, if someone wanted one i can't really see why they'd be interested in this one unless it came with a grouping.

                I guess it was only going to be a matter of time before the reprofiteers started making
                fake documents of lesser awards. Hope you did not pay much? The actual award medal
                would cost less.

                  This is indeed a horrible fake and nothing about the document is correct. Just the award date alone spells doom for this document. There were no awards of the Westwall Medal in 1943, or even 1942 for that matter. Awarding of the Westwall Medal ceased on January 31, 1941. That is, until the award was re-instituted in late 1944.

                    STILL LOOKS GOOD IN A FRAME WITH THE MEDAL THAT COST NOTHING SO AT LEAST ONE HAS SOME VALUE

                      It doesn't look good, even in a frame. A Luftwaffe eagle on top, and the text looks like handwriting to me!
                      The award itself is nice and shouldn't be together with this document.
