What would a RAD Mann deserve a EKII for?

The RAD fought like soldiers with Flak or search light units or in communication units. One of them was even awarded with the Ritterkreuz:

I have seen a number of different photos with RAD men having earned the EKII and higher ... these young men were often in frontline service. Cheers, Torsten.

I would imagine these are a lot rarer than your "run of the mill" RAD images which are not at all hard to come by.

Hi guys thanks for the replies i also think this are much rarer than the regular RAD photos you find everywhere.

They are wearing combat helmets and may be in Russia etc. and have been in a conflict with partisans. There really was no "rear" in Russia, things happened all the time. Rail personnel also sometimes are seen being awarded EKs for fighting the "Indianer" as well.
