    am i wrong?

Hello everyone, here is the problem. this document belongs to a soldier of the grenadier regiment 320 and it is signed by division Generalleutnant Werner Hühner. I did some research and it turns out that the grenadier regiment 320 was part of the Infantry Division 212, but Werner Hühner has never commanded the infantry division 212, so has someone an explanation ?

As you can see from the stamp we're talking about the 61 Inf.Div. which was as you know under Hühner's command at the time. As you also know Gren.Rgt.320 was part of the 212 Inf.Div.
It was pretty common fro parts of divisions to be detached temporarily and put under the command of other formations. Any decorations won whilst operating under that formation would come from there and not the regiment or batallions parent formation. At least in terms of awards for bravery like the EK.

So, with cases like this you need to look for the link and the first place to look is the next step up the chain which is the Korps. and here we see that at the time both divisions belonged to the XXVIII armeekorps. So there's your explanation.
Collecting German award documents, other paperwork and photos relating to Norway and Finland.
