          s.WS

One of the tractors of the 88 guns lost at Avelgem. These must be some of the first S.WS engaged on the western front

                      Hello Stefan,

For me this 10,5cm leFH18 auf Geschützwagen Lorraine (12 produced), Wespe-equivalent based on Lorraine armored tractor could be belonging to 21.Pz ( Pz.Art.Rgt. 155 ) , the location was the banks of Rouen ( Allied bombing - 25/26 august 1944 )

                        Thank you Fred

Like you mention 21st Pz. was heavily equipped with french material, but I wondered if there were any other units in Normandy that had such vehicles?
Only 12 produced means that it is a small miracle to find such a beautiful clear photo of one.
                        Thanks for your help.

BTW look in your mailbox please.

                        Take care,

                        Stef
