    Copies?

    Would appreciate your views on this small set of pictures.
    All are 7cm x 6.8cm and on Leonar paper.
    I am far from an expert in this field but for some reason I do not like them.Under inspection they lack the sharpness you would normally see and the finish looks off? Like a cross between matt and gloss.
    Other opinions would be appreciated

      Those are tough call

      I would say reprints of some kind.......

        Fakes without doubts.

        Could be spotted by:

        - no contrast
        - ribbed photo paper
        - "specific" cutting

        Here are two more fakes from this series:

            Sorry, my English is not good.

            Ribbed = corrugated, grooved, fluted, ribbed, wavy

            Very specific photo paper, I've seen only fakes on it.

              Not talking about the photos in this thread (they do look to be reproductions to me) , but very grainy photo paper did exist during the war.
