My best paperwork catch of 2012 !!!

Hello Guys,

This is my best paperwork related catch of 2012!

I was walking on a militaria fair yesterday over here
in Normandy and there was a lady pulling out things
to put on her sales table. When I walked by she just
put a big black map holder on her table and I saw
by coincidence a German map with the place where
I live on it.

I turned out to be 2 original '43 dated Heereskarten
from the artillery from the coast of Normandy.
I live in Arromanches so I couldn't leave them there.
I thought I'dd never find a German map of this area
because they are pretty uncommon and wanted over here.

I've just put a nice frame around them and I'll probably
put them on display in our museum this week.

great catch, i always find it interesting to compare period maps with modern ones to see how much has changed over the last 60+ years.
