    Regiment / Bataillon Books

Thoughts on these books ... I've never seen them before so if someone could direct me to a thread that discusses books like this or if anyone has any information that'd be great! They seem to have a unit history inside them and also some photographs!

Most interesting, I have never seen these before and wounder if you could post some of the content? Are the photos combat or group type photos?

Looks like an SS buckle came with the grouping?

how did you happen upon this grouping?

Thanks for shareing and good luck in your Quest for information!

Here are some shots of the inside as requested... the lot is from a local collector thinning out his collection - he got his from random sources...

I believe the parade photo in the book in 007.jpg is from September 1935, so the book can't be published any earlier than that.

these are photoalbums......photoalbums with specific pages about history and rank chart of the Rgt or Btl... that soldiers could purchase from their Regiments..mostly these were also given as present to the end of a army career as a kind of reservist gift..

Great stuff and thanks for the additional photos! Any further shots of the photos close up would be nice after watermarking for protection.

Great photos, the one in post #13 has been published several times and the one of the man drinking from the large water bottle looks familiar.

The man drinking water has this on the reverse:

A stamp that is unreadable but dated "4 Sep 1944"

                              &

A stamp that says "Bildtext muß zur Zensur noch nach crercht weden" Something about censorship?

                              &

                              Pencil: "8143/5"
