Boat Help please

Firstly let me say I know nothing about boats/ships etc.
I noticed from the picture that the vessel on the right has what looks like some plane and ship markings on the front. Does this indicate enemies destroyed?-also, what type of vessels are they.

one of them is the M35 class minesweeper M7

The minesweeper " M 7 " was very successful. 9 January 1940 the boot M 7 could make

surfacing the British submarine HMS "Starfish" which immediately after its surfacing destroyed

itself by self sinking (hope you understand what I mean!).

So one picture seen on the M 7 could mean the British submarine Starfish.
