It looks good to me -- a note in Himmler's unique hand to his mother. It's a keeper! Congrats!

I'm sorry to say (from your perspective) that on this one, it's pretty easy. The handwriting is a total giveaway. It is so obviously copied, and not very well. There are a couple of other obvious giveaways, but I will keep them under wraps.
It's a totally fabricated piece. Sorry.
            Max.

Yes, thanks Max...always happy to learn! Do you think the whole card, including the postage and cancellation, is a modern fabrication or just the handwriting on it?

Hi James, I am the owner of the card. It is sure that the card itself as well as the postmark and stamp on it is 100% authentic. I examined the card and there is no UV light, but I trust Max to 100 %. I am also well known as far as signatures are concerned, but in this case I wasn´t sure, because I never saw an Himmler writing from 1932. The only problem - my problem is - that this card was in an book which was owned by Bavarian Prince Heinrich who was the godfather of Himmler. Inside this book is the bookplate of the prince and Himmlers signature from approx. 1925. The book itself was examined many years ago and confirmed as 100 % authentic. Anyway, thanks to all for your support and special thanks again to Max !

The book to which you refer, I believe has previously been posted on WAF and, if it's the same one, if memory serves me well, it is an authentic Himmler piece. On the other hand, this postcard is a bad forgery. Without physical examination, it's difficult to judge if the whole piece is a fantasy piece. I wouldn't rely solely on a UV light test, but the chances are that the forger has taken an original philatelic franked postcard and added the poor attempt at Himmler's handwriting. Only close examination would confirm that. Fortunately, the forger's knowledge of Himmler, his handwriting and his movements is evidently not very thorough. Added to his poor attempt at copying the handwriting only confirms the negative authenticity.
                    Max.

Thanks again, friends. If I happened upon such a post card stuck in a book that had positive provenance to it, I would probably assume it was genuine. Glad I didn't have the chance to spend good money on such an item!!

Jealousy seems to have NO end within this forum - sad but true.

As soon as someone who is - not yet - known here and accepted (better to say: has had the balls to fight his way through to have to be accepted) posts a freakin´ awesome, rare, original and therefore mostly valuable item especially the known experts try to hack up the piece and it´s owner.

                          Nice try.

Congrads for owning and thank you for sharing this unique piece of SS history.

Why it has been judged as a fake is beyond my imagination.

Understandable. Certainly beyond your knowledge and understanding as well.

I am with Max. Not an original Himmler.
