4 more for Oriano. Po-River Crossing. Unfortunately, the individual Quality of these 4 Pics is quite low, but the Insignia are worn on Caps. The name of the Regimental-Commandeur, or Battery-Chief, was "Schmall"

they are really special photos 708.V.G.D. ...
especially those taken by the Po river bank (they are very rare photos of the Germans on the Po river!!)

and I'm curious about the first photo "corssing the lake okt. 1944"....
in this period the Division was under Bologna and there are not so large lakes in the area (just the Valleys of Comacchio, near Ferrara coast but it is not an alpine lake ....... seems the Lake Garda .... probably an artillery training camp in North Italy..... a a fantastic photo!!

            Ciao Oriano

Tks Scott !! Portraits and Pics where divisional Insigians are being worn are scarce. There are generally more rare than the Insignias themselves or SB Entries / Award Document. 34.I.D., 290.I.D., 16.Pz.Div., Windhund.... I don't know any exceptions.
