A panzer officer, former Aufklrärer

I got a series of photos from a knight's cross award ceremony, where a panzer officer was present.

He apparently was a former Aufklärer... not of the army, but of the Luftwaffe. With an observer badge, and a recon badge instead of a close combat badge.

wau, panzermann mit luftwaffen beobachterabzeichen und frontflugspange. abkommandierter einer panzereinheit zu einer luftwaffen nahaufklärer gruppe. wird auch verbindungsoffizier genannt.

Thank you for looking everyone. fw190, right, he could be a Luftverbindungsoffizier, never thought of that before posting. Kevin, there are more photos in the group but mostly similar, no more close ups unfortunately!

Interesting to see his changed branch being the Panzers. More often than not I see Aufklarar Observers going to Artillerie units due to there time in support of ground operations while flying with short range recon..
