    Two Award Documents for Assessment

These two award documents from my personal collection are presented here for opinions as to period authenticity, please.

    1. KVK 2nd Class (w/o swords). Awarded to an OG (ie. Ober-Gefreiter = Corporal) in Muenster/Westfalen on 1. Nov. 1944. Interesting because the recipient was the Chief of a Press Office in the Luftwaffe and is signed by the Commanding General and Commanding Officer of Luftgau VI - of which that inkstamp is present.

Can someone please also identify the name of the General?

    2. Westwall Award. Awarded in Berlin on 20. June 1940 to an Auxiliary Assistant from Freiburg and bearing the Reich-embossed stamp and a facsimile signature of Meissner (the Chief of Protocol).

    Thanks and regards,

    John

Both citations look fine and the stamped sig on the KVK document is that of Generalmajor August Schmidt.

No red flags that I can see.

      Best regards

Thanks, guys. Glad to hear that. Thanks especially Brian for the ID on the General's signature.
