Looks to me like an FW-190 with an early engine cowling...IMHO!

      ..

From the cowling it looks more likely to be Italian possibly a varient of the Breda BA. 65 or possibly Macchi ground attack a/c.

I don't know.... doesn't look to me like a prototype Fw-190 cowling *or* canopy, especially with that through-the-canopy gunsight.

I was thinking maybe a captured French Curtiss P-36 Hawk.... but the landing gear are totally different on a P-36 (they retracted outboard on a P-36 instead of inboard like this photo and the Fw-190.)

I think it is a French Bloch MB 152-153.

I also think it is a early French Bloch MB.151/152 that has the cap removed from the prop.

Here are 3 nice pictures to verify!

Great, thanks for ID! - The 1st link makes perfect sense, as the foto was in a lot of the JG51:

Yes for sure a Bloch 152, there are photos of one in Jerry Crandall's excellent book titled "Hans "Assi" Hahn, The Man and His Machines" showing an abandoned Bloch captured by JG2.
